il bistro italiano. see ron or brunnella. Alternative la rouge. Both downtown. Both as good as any restaurant anywhere.

From a friend:

626 is the best.

The Rouge isn't bad but pricey for what you get compared to 626.

On 9th and pitkin there is a Taqueria Guadelajara that I love--mexican--place where the mexican concrete workers go

No Coast is a friend's sushi restaurant

Inari in Palisade is good and interesting
