You know why this is...and you know what the solution will be

Honesty from a network suit:
The Daily ran a gossip item reporting that Gregory was next on the chopping block. "Meet The Press," long the top-rated Sunday show, has been in a fierce battle with CBS rival "Face The Nation," which has drawn more viewers on many weeks. "The show’s in trouble, and nobody likes Gregory," one "insider" told The Daily.
The cause -- every week it's a bunch of conservative inside the beltway assholes. Every other week it's John fucking McCain.

The likely proposed solution -- Make EVERY week John McCain week.

The problem with that solution is that McCain doesn't dance nearly as well as Rove does.

If they do replace Gregory, though, I'm betting it will be with Little Luke, heir-in-waiting.

And, no doubt, the network execs will be congratulating each other on their exciting idea....

And they can have Lindsay on as a guest every week. Now that's a Lemon Party.

Nah, not really. NBC will ride Gregory right off the cliff. It's what they are, it's what they do. And Gregory will keep on keepin' on as long as there's coke in it to keep him skinny.

I don't think they can have John "Former Prisoner of War©" McCain on every week because every week he is not on Press the Meat, he's on Bob Scheiffer's Old Man Show.

Remember how after they lost their elections, Michael Dukakis, Al Gore and John Kerry were unceasingly on TV almost as much as the guy who won the election? Me neither.
