It took some guts for someone in her position, not necessarily to do this (it would be nice if more people HAD the resources to have this option), but to come forward and say she had done so.
And hopefully it will help others.

Quarter million bucks or so? Heck, the test alone costs thousands, and a positive for the marker makes you officially uninsurable.
This may be an option for Galtian overlords like Pitt/Jolie, but it's not realistic for real people. Actually kinda suicidal unless you swim in wealth like them.
