While the Senate appears poised to come to some type of agreement, the "People's House," as it is known, is showing much more reluctance to approve the deeply unpopular bombing resolution. "Peace may well have a chance," said one top House GOP aide. Public opinion surveys have been reflected in the outpouring of calls, emails and letters that have flooded House offices, running, say lawmakers, at more than 9 to 1 against intervention. The opposition spans the political spectrum. And, despite Congress being infected with a large variety of yahoos who cannot tell the difference between the Bill of Rights and the Ten Commandments (and have no understanding of either) perhaps there is about to be a stumbling into military actions following the guidelines the Founders intended. Re-Leash the Poker Playing Dogs of War
It appears that for the first time, I believe, since the waning days of the Vietnam War Congress is about to reject military action or aid in the interest of an act of war.

If the response is running 9 to 1 against involvement, why, this Congress has no choice but to vote for involvement.
It has a reputation for ignoring its constituents to protect.
Next up, a flood of phone calls that are 9 to 1 in favor of a large stimulus and a tax hike on the 1%. If only.
I have a feeling any reluctance on the part of Congress is more due to TABMITWH, than in any feelings of conscience... not to mention doing what the constituents want.
By this stage of the game, Obama could offer to eliminate IRS and ATF, place St Ronnie's picture on every bit of currency, repeal the Bill of Rights, AND disembowel himself live on the tee-vee machine... and the teabggin mouth-breathers in DC would still say no.
Pure tribalism, not an outbreak of conscience. The rednecks will go back to being bloodthirsty as soon as there's another Repuke in the White House.
if only obama could have used 9/11.
well mccain says he talks to marines!and they say...
