The mayor of Sochi, host of the Winter Olympics, has said there are no gay people in the city.
Anatoly Pakhomov said homosexuals were welcome at the Games - as long as they "respect Russian law" and "don't impose their habits on others".Something tells me Mr. Nemtsov is more accurate.
Opposition leader Boris Nemtsov said there were several gay bars in Sochi.

Olympics? Meh.
would never be there if the IOC wasn't corrupt
StonyPillow and kingweasil: Yep.
Sure, I'll believe Mayor Pakhomov, if he'll accept my claim that there are no cats in America.
no cats???
One might fear that said gay bars will somehow be discovered and shut down violently pre-Olympics?
w/r/t the Russian Olympics...most countries are corrupt. Brazil has rich landowners who slaughter union organizers with impunity, for instance. China? ROFLO. Look at American foreign policy and the Drug War which imprisons 25% of the black population.
Where might one hold the Olympics? Denmark? New Zealand? Tuvalu?
