In case you were wondering

How sympathetic Brit Hume must have been to his son before he committed suicide years ago...(and you know you weren't wondering that):
Howard Kurtz: So what about this bully narrative?

Brit Hume: Well, I would have to say that in this sort of feminized atmosphere in which we exist today, guys who are masculine and muscular like that in their private conduct, kind of old fashion tough guys, run some risk.

Lauren Ashburn: Feminized?

Kurtz: Feminized. Hume: Atmosphere.

Kurtz: By which you mean? Hume: By which I mean that men today have learned the lesson the hard way that if you act like a kind of an old fashioned guy's guy, you're in constant danger of slipping out and saying something that's going to get you in trouble and make you look like a sexist or make you look like you seem thuggish or whatever. That's the atmosphere in which he operates. This guy is very much an old fashioned masculine, muscular guy, and there are political risks associated with that. Maybe it shouldn't be, but that's how it is.
Not to engage in easy fat jokes...(but to engage in easy fat jokes)...Chris Christie can be described many, many, many ways. But muscular is certainly not one of them.

I'm sure this archaic "man's man" and terror of the "feminized" society must have really helped with his late son's feelings of being loved by his dad, his huge prick of a dad.

Dr. Turk, this is so dickish and tasteless on your part I'm astonished. Wish I'd thought of it.

How many "guy's guys" need a full-length mirror to be able to see their own dicks?

I've been around a long time and come from a family with a lot of 'old fashioned guy's guys.' Yes, they were/are sexist, embedded in the patriarchy and all that, but I don't remember a single ever one voicing the outright hatred for women that seems to be the single position of 21st century conservatives.

You'd think that his son's situation might have made him reconsider some of his attitudes, but you don't get Brit Hume's politics by having an open mind.

to be fair Christie says he was heading into the shower after a workout at the gym when he first heard about bridgegate...This guy is very much an old fashioned masculine, muscular guy
