Arizona Pastor Steven Anderson warned his congregation recently that birth control was not only turn(ing) women into “whores,” it was also destroying the country.
sacrebleu! I love me a good fundamentalist, but I for one cant stand idly by and watch the land fall to whoredom and wickedness when the bruins are down one game to Montreal.
Ah, well, it's the same guy who was calling for the death penalty for gays, that it was that faggoty Barney Frank that caused the economic meltdown and "sold the country into fascism," and that Obama was a murderer for "partial birth abortions," that the country had descended in "lewdness" and it was all Obama's fault.
He's clearly a few bricks shy of a load, and if his congregation hasn't figured that out yet, they're probably not all there, either.
Nevertheless, we need reminders now and then why religious law is not a good idea, and the deranged Pastor Anderson serves as a pretty good example.

I hope conservatives will really run with this anti-contraception theme.
It's a sure vote-getter... for liberals.

since he has never had a baby......
Start the countdown to Steven Anderson being caught blowing guys in a bathroom/with a hooker and meth/with a boy in his congregation.
