Attention Private Jonah

Atrios sent a White Feather to the Doughy Pantload yesterday, for this statement:

As for why my sorry a** isn't in the kill zone, lots of people think this is a searingly pertinent question. No answer I could give -- I'm 35 years old, my family couldn't afford the lost income, I have a baby daughter, my a** is, er, sorry, are a few -- ever seem to suffice.

This is, of course, the same statement that Juan Cole jumped on Goldberg for months ago -- ultimately leading to a smack down that soon had the "D.P." running back to Star Trek references while his pathetic right-wing dope-squad of Cliff May and Rich Lowry tried to come to his aid. Not surprisingly it did not help.

As Atrios later pointed out, a 19-Year old woman gave up her life in Jonah's War sixteen years short of Jonah's gravytraining years, and sans a child. She barely had a chance to live life, before it was snuffed out in this woebegotten war.

But, if children are a necessity, then lets look at someone closer to the "D.P." demographic:
A West Point professor who volunteered to serve in Iraq has been killed in action, family members said Monday. Col. Ted S. Westhusing, 45, was killed in action on Sunday, family members said Monday...

...He left for Iraq near the end of the year and was helping train the Iraqi Army, working as counter-terrorism and special operations director under Lt. Gen. David Petraeus.

That's not good.
