There are days, sometimes weeks, when summoning the energy to transmit something into the blogosphere is just too much. Thank gawd for those intrepid souls that somehow find a way to do it during times like these (Billmon, Digby, Attaturk). They express the outrage of millions of souls and it makes us feel better to read it, to be in common cause. Sometimes it helps to poke fun at the juvenile clown show running the country.
But for me there are days, the last several weeks in fact, when the sense of tragedy and contempt I feel for those that inflicted it on us that I can't summon the energy to even make fun of the morons driving us off a cliff. This is happening in real time folks, and even if by some stroke of luck we pull the crisis in Lebanon back from the brink, the mess we have caused in the region is far worse off than it was before we marched into Baghdad.
The talk of war crimes tribunals always seemed such a waste of time. But that would be a fate better than these people deserve.
