Like the Buzzards returning to Hinckley

Al Qaeda's honchos always return with video during election season.

After all, what better follow up to declaring those who disagree with them as appeasers, could BushCo ask for than more implicit endorsements from Bin Laden and Al Zawahiri?

And what's this, they've added a new "Darren"?

A new videotape by al Qaeda's second-in-command, Ayman al-Zawahiri, has surfaced on the Web with an appearance by a Californian-turned-al Qaeda member wanted by the FBI, according to a counterterrorism expert...

...Al-Zawahiri says the message is directed at Americans. Californian Adam Gadahn, whom the FBI wants in connection with possible terrorist threats against the United States, introduces the message.

Gadahn, also known as "Azzam the American," has previously been featured in al Qaeda tapes and is listed as armed and dangerous by the FBI on its Web site.

And Cue Wankery!!!

Within minutes, Fox News brought on right-wing author Richard Miniter to provide expert analysis of the video. Miniter said that “what’s striking” about Zawahiri “is that he’s using a lot of the same rhetoric as the antiwar crowd. He refers to President Bush as a liar and a defeated president…They call him a failure, an incompetent.”

Also in the tape, Zawahiri says “Bush was foolish to turn down the truce offered by Osama bin Laden as an honorable way out.” Miniter said this claim and others is what “Michael Moore and John Kerry were saying a year ago,” and now al Qaeda is “turning them back against us.”

But this is but the appetizer, for Osama himself on video will be this year's special Halloween treat -- count on it!
