I Listen to Don Imus So ...(Finally Friday Edition)

Well, Don Imus is not entirely useless. He just asked Tim Russert if it's a good thing that so many D.C. pundits and journalists hang out with the people they cover. But because Russert is useless, he deflected the question by saying he wasn't a party animal and and launching into a mini-whine about "pamphleteers" (that's you and me, folks) who want him to hammer his guests. Russert said hammering his guests isn't his job. He prefers to ask the question and let the viewer decide if the subject is telling the truth, i.e., no follow-up when he knows his subject is lying.*

*Yeah, the "I've never met Edwards" lie was a small one; but lying about small stuff makes it easier to lie about big stuff, right?

(And by the way, what's with Timmeh's busted ankle?)
