"Hey, don't blame me, I don't know stuff a lot of people know"

Ignorance, it isn't just for denying evolution happened anymore:

Reporter: I don’t know to what extent you have been briefed or been able to take a look at the NIE report that came out yesterday …

Huckabee: I’m sorry?

Reporter: The NIE report, the National Intelligence Estimate on Iran. Have you been briefed or been able to take a look at it –

Huckabee: No.

Reporter: Have you heard of the finding?

Huckabee: No.

This, of course, was well after the report had been the lede story in broadcast, radio, and newspaper headlines across the country.

What to make of it -- well, Eraserhead enthusiast Byron York used one of his many hairpicks and took a pathetic stab at it:

After Kuhn explained the NIE's findings to Huckabee, Huckabee seemed confused about what it meant. Beyond doing nothing to resolve doubts about his foreign policy qualifications, the exchange underscores the fact that Huckabee doesn't really have much of a campaign, in the sense that Giuliani and Romney have campaigns, with teams of advisers and carefully-thought-out policy positions.

How much of a fucking team do you need to know the lede story in the news for an entire news cycle?
