Checkmarks are not always a Good Thing

While the media frenzy taking place in Des Moines, Iowans are not as star struck by the whole process and punditocracy.  In fact, I have overheard several Iowans complaining about all the media trucks blocking roads in downtown Iowa.  "It's like the O.J. Simpson case," one person on the street remarked.

Talking with some Iowans here in Des Moines as they prep for the caucuses, they are tired of the incessant campaign commercials and the "calling at-all-hours" from campaign staffers and so some Iowans have taken to keeping track of the calls and place checkmarks by the names of candidates whose staff are calling them and... the candidate with the fewest checkmarks gets support.

Call it reverse contact.
