Intensity

How to maintain it?

Day after day I feel confronted and assaulted by more shenanigans from the Bush White House and a Congress that is so reactive to national problems as to be almost meaningless most of the time.  That is, when they are not rolling over for the demands of a heartless executive branch.

How do you maintain interest in politics?  In the effort to contribute to dialogue that would lead to real change in the US, let alone in the world, how does one keep up what seems an insurmountable effort?

Consider that the right and nut-wings of the Republican party have great control over the media, government, and business.  How do we maintain our intensity, our effort in the fight against such a juggernaut?

Maybe its just a down day for me.  But with the Democrats in disarray before a national campaign has even begun... with the Republicans strengthening their power base... with so MANY problems and such cavalier attitude among Republicans about their perceived destiny in running this country, how do we maintain our intensity for this protracted rhetorical battle?

How do you do it?
