Domestic Terrorism on the...

Rise?

According to the Council on Foreign Relations white paper on domestic terrorism and future trends related to domestic extremism, we need to look to home grown extremists as likely future terrorists.

... The September 11 attacks—the biggest and deadliest terrorist plot ever executed in the United States—were carried out by foreigners, but the twenty-four terrorist incidents that occurred between 2002 and 2005 were carried out by domestic extremists, according to the FBI. The most notorious recent case of domestic terrorism was the April 1995 truck bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City, which killed 168 people and injured more than 500.

It just warms the heart doesn't it?  Doesn't it?

Of course the CFR does have a pretty apparent right wing bias and even they are concerned.  Although, some of their definitions are a little humorous.  Take a look at some of the definitions of types of terrorism... however you slice it, we have a great deal to be concerned about.

Great.  Just great.  Idiots in the "White" House have run the country into the ground and that has only exacerbated the problem with domestic extremism.  Thanks George... on a completely new level of screwupness.
