"Ah say, we must have comity and decorum whilst I scurrilize yonder Harpy!"

Thou SHALL NOT make fun of the Right Honorable Senator Turkey-Neck, his bullshit talking points must be respected, HARRUMPH, GOBBLE, HARRUMPH!

Now back to re-writtin' the 14th Amendment and opening his mouth when it rains!

That's very funny--McConnell spews idiocy just before the vote on Kagan, and he's "delivering a solemn speech...." McConnell, on his very best days, is a giant, economy-sized box of horse's ass, so it would be reasonable to think that he was, first and foremost, emitting enough hot air to thwart the air-conditioning.

All new junior Senators have to do a rotation as presiding officer of the Senate, an hour at a crack. It's supposed to acquaint them with the voluminous rules of procedure.

Methinks Franken is, after a year of it, just getting bored with that part of the job, and might be acting out a bit, hoping to get himself yanked from the requirement. Either that, or his threshold of tolerance for McConnell's assholery is barely above mine.

In any case, I'll bet that McConnell wet his pants over it.

I've always though Mitch looks more like a shell-less turtle.

Hope he sent McConnell a note along the lines of this one, whch Churchill is said to have sent by way of apology in the House of Commons:

"I called the Honorable member a liar it is true I am sorry for it please punctuate and capitalize as you please."

Christ, it's not as though he called him a vicious, kweeny old toilet snipe or a republiKKKan.

Awww. The poor widdle senator McConnell got his feewings hurt.

Meanwhile, the Republican cadre has no problem with snide personal attacks, bitterness and trash talk in the House and Senate chambers and in front of the cameras.

Lack of decorum, IOKIYAR.

I say you are a hypocrite, Senator McConnell. And, I say the hell with it.
