With the massive threat of Chinese Dong...

How much will we have to cut rich people's taxes to pay for protecting our carrier from missile penetration, aka "Operation Chastity Belt"?

I'm sure Paul Ryan will have the answer to that in just a moment: "Uh, where's my calculator? Uh, uh, uh, one trillion, carry the one, add one trillion, divide by 400 richest families, uh, uh, yeah, 43%, yeah, that's the ticket!"

Our carriers have been sitting ducks for decades, it's just that we haven't gone to war with an opponent with serious naval capability since WW2. The Russians have a new supersonic anti-ship missile more advanced than this Chinese model that will plough through our current defences.
So long as you're only up against Saddam Hussein's speedboat coast guard, the Taliban or Somali pirates, they work great.
Otherwise they're hideously expensive shiny status symbols for naval officers.

To put it in teatard terms, we're going to have to cut tax rates down to minus eleventy percent to get revenues to increase enough to pay for countermeasures.

More dread, more to fear, the illegal immigrants will use it on the shiny border fences.
