Bring on No. 4

The game is afoot, time for Newt to blame wife No. 3 for sinking his otherwise "awesome" chances in 2012.

...officials close to the Gingrich campaign privately pointed fingers at Callista Gingrich as the source of the tension between her husband and his staff. They say she exerted enormous influence on the former House speaker, controlling his schedule and encouraging him to disappear on a luxury cruise in the Greek Isles just weeks after he got into the race. That trip was the final straw, for some, who pleaded with him not to go.

Looks, I know it is all fashionable to completely blame the "woman" because a guy cannot keep a vow worth a shit (because he's so innocent and noble, just ask him), but this strikes me as a bit rich. Cowardly Newt is totally going to blame her and her kneepads for his idiocy.

But Gingrich sometimes seemed more interested in placating his wife than serious campaigning. And Callista Gingrich's iron-fisted control over her husband's calendar made planning nearly impossible. Gingrich would sometimes be late to meetings with donors because his wife needed some time at a hotel to freshen up. He would try to book trips so he could be home in time for his wife's choir practice.

Alrighty, then.

at what point will Calista come forward and say..."Wait a minute, I don't HAVE choir practice... and I certainly didn't need to 'freshen up'... something tells me that the Greek Island cruise was a way to make up to his wife for some 'questionable' activities involving the kneepads of another woman...

totally speculation, but it's not like he doesn't have a well established record in this area...

Say, have you ever had one of Calista's hummers?

"Mwah!" C'est magnifique!!

Perfectly understandable that he would not want to lose out on those fab BJ's of hers.

My guess is that Callista knows that he's been fucking around on her, and he knows that she knows--especially after all his groveling before the family values crowd--that she can sink his little Preznidential-ambition rowboat and any future chances he might imagine for himself with one interview.

M'self, I think she's got Newtie's newticles in a vise. What else explains a half-million dollar tab at Tiffany's except a little marital extortion (well, yes, he could have been plying younger woman with expensive trinkets, but, had she seen the bills, that would only increase the likelihood of a few well-placed threats and a shopping spree of her own)?

Maybe Newtie finally married someone even more devious than he is? Hey, you know what they say--third time's a charm.

There's just no way to know what is true here. But I'm suprised that Newt would essentially say that his wife is in charge. Its not the typical conservative tough guy image.

If the Newter does act that way, I hope it open Callista's eyes and she gets to Tiffany's before he cancels the account.

It's a sad comment on this country that we're even still talking about Newticles after all the crap he's pulled.
