Heard This Morning on the Radio

Arthur Levitt, former SEC chair:

"Dodd Frank was seriously flawed in that it abdicated the responsibility
for rule-making to the regulators".

Ol' Arthur seems to understand just how compromised and captured that the regulators of today, indeed, are.

What Mr. Levitt didn't say--and should have--is that Dodd-Frank was written that way by design, because Congress is itself compromised and captured by the same forces in silent control of the regulators.
