Tennessee Sponsor Of Guns In Bars Law Arrested For Driving Drunk With A Gun | In what is almost too predictable to be true, the lead sponsor of a Tennessee law allowing handgun permit holders to bring guns into bars “has been arrested on charges of drunken driving and possession of a gun while under the influence.” Pulled over in Nashville, Tennessee late yesterday, state Rep. Curry Todd (R) “failed a roadside sobriety test and refused to take a breathalyzer. A loaded Smith & Wesson 38 Special was found in a holster stuffed between the driver seat and the center console.” A spokesman for the House Republican Caucus had no immediate comment on the arrest. Todd, incidentally, is the same official who compared pregnant illegal immigrants to “reproducing rats.”And, of course, there's a Mug Shot -- and it is like it was choreographed to be as appropriate as possible.

It's not two wet suits and a dildo, but it will do
As a demonstration of wingnut hypocrisy.

Republicans: giving drunken lunatics a bad name.
I'm sure that the NRA will be coming out soon with an appropriate response accusing the arresting officers of being hippie Obamabots.
I mean if we loose the right to shoot terrorists when we're in a fall-down drunken state then the terrorists have won.
Kind of a pity he didn't make a drunken play for his gun. The Tennessee SP could have done the whole country a favor.
the people who elect him are worse i guess.
