The true value of hard work is not earning enough

Well what a thorough surprise.
Democrats' push for pay equity between men and women is "condescending," one of the top women in the House Republican leadership argued Tuesday, suggesting that the campaign for equal pay for equal work reflects a lack of understanding of women's contributions to the workforce. Rep. Lynn Jenkins (R-Kan.), the GOP conference's vice chair, made her comments flanked by her fellow leaders in the House at their weekly news conference, and suggested that the campaign for equal pay for equal work reflects a lack of understanding of women's contributions to the workforce.
Ms. Jenkins -- seriously -- went to on say she supports the concept of "equal pay for equal work" -- she just does not want to lift a finger for it to occur. [cross-posted at Firedoglake]

I note, for the record, that there is no gender discrimination in pay in the House, and I seriously doubt that Ms. Jenkins will be campaigning in the future for a reduction in her salary because of her "contributions to the workforce," meager though they may be.

As well, if there is any condescension at play here, it is on the part of Jenkins and her colleagues.

That said, I'm still amazed that a woman--even a cotton-headed Republican from Kansas--would try such a logically inverse tactic. I suppose this a case of "behind every successful Republican woman, there's a greedy billionaire telling her what to say."

After the Huffpo page finally finishes loading all the garbage into your PC, notice 2016 Republican presidential nominee Paul Ryan standing behind Rep. Jenkins in the photo. I do believe he’s scoping out Ms. Jenkins’ booty.

Behind that successful woman, stands a perv.

Probably true, SP. I was referring to the fact that the home base of Koch Industries is Wichita, Kansas.

Rep. Lynn Jenkins (R-Kan.), the GOP 's latest tool. Marsha Blackburn must have been busy denying global warming.
