Bring it on Motherfuckers!

Continuing our recent trend of vitriol, and building up from the economic argument to the working class -- the OTHER Bryan -- also discussed by Atheanae at First Draft and Bill Saletan at Slate (I'll call him Bill like I know him), let's look at the other half of the equation.

While discussing actual issues of advancement for the laboring and middle class, let's get over this fear of the buggaboo of social conservatism.

Let's call it was it is.

It's small minded, its short-sighted.

IT'S BIGOTRY!

Never back down to bigotry, NEVER, call it what it is, call them out for what they are.

It is time for the leaders of our party, the Kerrys; the Bidens; the Reids; the Durbins; and now the Obamas, to look the Republican brownshirts in the eye, grab the beer bottle, smash it against the table, break it off at the neck, have a crazed look in their eye and say simply...

YOU WANT A CULTURE WAR? BRING IT ON MOTHERFUCKERS, WE'LL GIVE YOU YOUR CULTURE WAR!

There are a few logical reasons for this.

First, the prospect of gay civil unions is a certainty, society marches on, rights advance ultimately, and gay unions will eventually be granted the same legal rights as heterosexual marriage. It is inevitable, so why be on the wrong side of history.

Second, the Right wants to take away the rights of a huge swath of citizens -- they want to make us all have to endure praying, like it or not; they want our gays back in the closets and afraid to come out; they want the sopp of dependence and fear to trump economic justice and equality; they want women to lose control over their bodies and renew their subservience.

Fuck 'em. People worked damn hard to get those rights, we are not going to let fear and complacency take them away.

Stop worrying about their wedge issues and call them what they are.

Look what not fighting and calling them out has given us?

A 5 to 4 Supreme Court, likely to become 6 to 3 in the next four years toward conservative strict construction (i.e. activist only when it comes to taking away YOUR RIGHTS)

The new Theodore Bilbos (most biggoted Hobbit ever) in guys like Tom Coburn.

It is simply time to stand up to these bullies, these bigots. To hold them to account.

Call them bigots and make them explain why they are not, put them on the defensive.

In short, smoke 'em out, make them play their cards.
