But, But, Kofi Anan Looked at Me funny?

Well, it appears that part and parcel of having a mightier God is that we get to have mightier scandals to ignore.

Not content with having lost a mere $9 Billion without accounting, the GOP has been content for months to have folks like the spectral Bill Safire claim the UN Oil for Food scandal was the biggest thing EVAH! When we were apparently giving our cronies and corporations that sweet sweet cash out of the taxpayer's pockets.

Huzzah for Bush!

The reconstruction of post-war Iraq is in danger of becoming "the biggest corruption scandal in history", Transparency International has warned.

The anti-corruption body said urgent steps were needed to ensure that corruption did not become endemic.

..

[T]he body is critical of the United States' handling of the reconstruction process, arguing that its process for awarding public contracts was secretive and favoured a small number of large firms.

Its comments echo those of the International Advistory and Monitoring Board, a United Nations body, which in December criticised the CPA for awarding contracts to oil services firm Halliburton and other firms without a competitive process.

"In its procurement strategies, the US has been a poor role model in how to keep corrupt practices at bay," the report says.

Poor role model?

Please, they are a great role-model for corruption.

They can fucking steal elections and brow beat anybody that questions it.

They can sleepwalk through a terrorist warning and manage to blame the party out of power.

They can manage to lose tens of billions of dollars and point the finger at the U.N.!

Hell, Bush can manage to avoid fightin' a war by drinking and doing coke off the belly of a fine Alabama Whore and make a Silver Star winner look like a coward.

If you are a crook, there could not be a better role model on the face of the earth! And manage to have the press talk about what a straight-shootin' down-to-earth guy he is.

In the history of crooks, there has never a more admirable bunch!
