Whoops

FoxNews is on in the background in the house (which is why you know I'm not staying where I live). Today the be-suited airheads are saying "it's hard to believe that with all of California's problems the issue of Meg Whitman and her housekeeper -- and a true political stunt -- that anyone cares."

So you know the network that proclaimed Obama was educated in a madrassa and the Park51 project as an earth shattering issues of the day feels that this is hurting the cause severely.

Meanwhile, this isn't going to help:

Immigration attorney Greg Siskind has examined copies of the I-9 and employee application completed by Harsh/Whitman housekeeper Nicandra Diaz Santillan, with this finding: the employer (Whitman) never signed the I-9 employment paperwork. This makes Meg’s claim that she examined the paperwork and found it acceptable impossible to prove.

There’s no way for Meg Whitman to claim she ever saw the paperwork, as required by law. Neither she — nor her husband — ever signed the I-9, as required by law.

These are called ‘violations’ and are identical to the type of violations for which Abercrombie & Fitch was, this week, fined one million dollars.

Count on Fox to promote the IOKIYAR position.

It's probably in the network's employee handbook.

Meh! One million dollars is just another campaign expense for Mega-Whitman

Hmm...but the Repugs were aghast at Zoe Baird and Kimba Wood's illegal nanny problems when they were nominated by President Bill Clinton. It caused the derailment of their careers.

Seriously, if you are a billionaire, do you need to hire an illegal housekeeper? Can't you afford to pay a living wage to someone in our own country?

Seriously, would you for a petty tyrant like Meg Whitman?

Incredible, isn't it?
It just shows the mindset of the cheap-ass, mean-spirited people who should be shunned by decent people.

And how they got rich in the first place (or how their great great granddaddies did if, like most of the rich, they inherited their wealth).

"If you want to know what God thinks of money, just look at the people He gives it to" - Irish proverb

Well, you'd think multi-billion dollar companies could also afford to pay a living wage to someone living in our own country, but they don't. They'd rather ship jobs overseas whenever they can.

What Meg did wasn't any different - except that she broke the law. Legally it was different, morally no different at all.

bring out the lie detector test! that would make for fun theater.

with this story, she's morphed from a bland, benign little mouse to something out of the mold of the wicked stepmother.
