Israel can't bomb Iran without active refueling and rescue air field provision by the U.S, In Iraqi airpace and/or on Iraqi soil. And all suggestions to the contracy (Dolphin Submarine launches, chained Eitan Drones etc) are pure fantasy.
This isn't a big secret Googel Toukan-Cordesman for the total breakdown of both Israel's and Iran's respective strike capability.
The PNAC boys want to convince the U.S. they have to strike first to keep the Israeli's from doing the deed (as if that would make any difference internationally). But unless you repeal the basic laws of physics the IDF does not have the bombload or refueling capacity to put enough planes on target and extract them to make a difference. And I have a hard time believing Israel will commit its whole air force on a one way suicide run. (Which per T-S they might barely be able to pull off).
Hand waving hysteria is a pretty good sum-up here.
