Try to imagine where the economy would be today if, instead of ginormous checks to the banks, the Fed decided to cut EVERY AMERICAN a check for $25,000...
pretty sure we wouldn't be in the position of 9+% unemployment, households in foreclosure / bankruptcy due to the shrinking economy ect. Hell, with as greedy as the 1% have become, they'd probably start adopting homeless people for an extra cut of $$$...

it woulda been better if the gov just PAID all the mortgages to shovel money at the banks. means tested tho.
