A car bomb has exploded at a police academy south of Baghdad, killing at least 13 people and wounding many more (must not insert a Steve Guttenberg -- although bitter -- joke here, must be respectful...).
Another day, another explosion in Iraq. Yeah, we got your peace and democracy right here. What is worse is that the explosion happened at a graduation ceremony in Hilla, about 62 miles south of the capital, Baghdad.
The attack came hours after a smaller bomb in the west Baghdad district of Amiriya killed two people, and a day after a suicide truck bomb on a police headquarters in the capital killed 11.
A local police commander told the AFP news agency that the car exploded across the road from the police academy, outside the Babil Sports Club
No safety in sports clubs? Oh man, this sitution is getting serious!
While the world's attention has been on the disaster in Asia, the situation in Iraq has deteriorated so much that the insurgency has developed into near-open warfare.
I wonder what awaits us tomorrow in Iraq?
