Playing Games

I wonder how much time and effort the two sad political parties in our country are using to play electoral strategy games?

It is sad but true that the only alternatives to the nefarious far right-wing is the almost as nefarious not quite sure what they stand for these days, Democratic party. And who are the leaders? Hillary, Biden, Lieberman? Where is the inspiring leader among that pack? (Have any of you seen Hillary on television lately? God, her smirk is almost as bad as W's... its just that I happen to agree with her more often.)

Yet sadly, it is not just an ideological issue or intellectual game, as for example in a Stratfor article where George Freidman and fellow grad students debated which was the most strategic city the Russians might nuke.

Real people are dying because of Ws ideology and its implementation, where do we even start, Iraq, NO, African's dying of Aids since abstinence only programs are worse than useless. Even home the programs not only don't work, but the pledgees more likely to get pregant or stds. Let us not even mention Darfor. Or for that matter sending a wee bit of "cash money" that pales besides the actual scale of the problem... (ok, you guess where.)

While it may be fun for grad students to play or imagine what if, but we do know that if the Dems like Gore/Kerry had been elected -- and much evidence suggest they were -- there would not have been an invasion of Iraq and the head of FEMA, Brown, would have a bit more expertise than fired as director of International Arabia Horse Assoiciation, what may be good for dispensing horseshit is not necessarily good at saving lives.

Everyone knows (and probably knew at the time) there were no weapons of mass destruction, but the country keeps goingthrough the motions, just in case they could find something. Perhaps that is the issue with this worthless political bunch on the right and the center, they are all playing games and hunches while the rest of us are hurt.

It is my opinion that W may very well go down as the worst prez in history, in this case, W as farce is a tragedy and how horrible it is to think that in '08 Condi would beat Hillary hands down according to some of the polls. I suppose people are already playing games to see how that can work.
