Holden's Nemesis

Bill from Portland Maine (I know you were thinking Little Scotty or Pony Blow) but no, for some reason, Holden has it out for the Cheers & Jeers guy. Go figure, it isn't even NTodd who I thought was everyone's nemesis. Or at least Ntodd is one of the worst things on the blogosphere after those bloggers who engage in meaningless posts about other bloggers. Those sorts of people are the biggest assholes this side of Bush-Cheney, Inc.

At least I think all of the above is true, if it isn't Holden still got a link, and that is all he really cares about. Same for Rohrschach.

Where was I?

Oh yes, so much for comedy, here comes the depression. Richard Engle is one of NBC's reporters on the ground in Iraq, along with the equally solid Mike Boettcher. Engle was on Tweety's syndicated show and Bill from Portland quotes his reaction to how things are going there now:

"I think this is getting worse, unfortunately. I think there has been a civil war that has been on the ground for about a year. There'll probably be another nine or ten years of civil war, maybe 250-thousand people dead before this is over.

I think eventually they're going to have a situation that they could have reached when the Iraqis were putting together their constitution: a loose federal state. And, unfortunately, where those federal lines are divided is going to take a lot of bloodshed. And Americans are there to just try and hold it together."

Boy, did this post end on a downer.

UPDATE: I'm linking to Thers just to let him know he cannot intimidate me by complaining about not being linked. That'll show him!
