A little old but still noteworthy

This information was first posted on a blog mid last week about the same time that George Will decided to edit history with the same panache he stole briefing books for Presidential Debates but it is important to put the Webb-Bush encounter into context.

A quirky individualist who wants no part of the phony collegiality of Washington, Webb was rightly insulted when Bush pressed him in that bullying way—“That’s not what I asked you”—trying to force the conversation back to Webb’s son. Webb could have asked how the Bush girls are doing, partying their way across Argentina. He could have told Bush he was worried about his son; the vehicle next to him was blown up recently, killing three Marines. Given the contrast between their respective offspring, Webb showed restraint.

As the original blog post asserted, it is quite likely that Bush knew of this event, and new that Webb's son is deep in the shit. What class, biggest fucking asshole without a blog (or hiding in a cave) on earth.

You know Bush can avoid Cindy Sheehan or any number of his bosses (aka "citizens") but he's going to have difficultly avoiding a Navy Cross winner who is the Senator from Virginia.

And I hope George Will have the fucking vapors about it repeatedly.
