My April Fools Wish

On this April Fool's Day, I do not want to create a cruel trick.  There are so many serious and fundamental problems with our system of government, politics, and civil society that I wish to turn the tables on this April Fools day tradition.  I think we should use this April Fools for making wishes we all deeply want to see.

So, with that in mind pick your favorite April Fools wish or add your own:

1. Bush and Cheney indicted on war crimes.

2. Pat Robertson says "I lied about everything."

3. U.S. Troops coming home after historic peace accord in Iraq.

4. Price of a barrel of oil falls to $50.00.

5. Historic environmental protections pass both houses of congress, unanimously!

6. Record companies decide to close and make music freely available on the Internet.  One industry head remarked: "It is the music that matters, the music."

7. Automobile manufacturers close to new compact on environmentally responsible automobiles and new mass transit for urban areas.

8. Watershed moment in funding of American schools and universities will create affordable, quality education to all young people in the United States.

9. Unbelievable agreements around the globe end warfare on all continents.

10. Add your fondest wish... put it in the comments section for all of us to share in this April Fool's dreaming.
