Meet Diane Savino, New York State Senator from Staten Island and Brooklyn. She was one of the only bright spots in the marriage equality vote that happened here earlier this week. I think a big part of the outcome had to do with our weak governor, rather than New York not being ready for gay people to marry. We'll see it done here sooner rather than later, but not under this governor. Anyway, read the little interview with Savino and then watch the video through the end. It's worthwhile. And if you're ever in Staten Island, go to Denino's for the pizza, which is quite good. (See? I said another nice thing about Staten Island.)
