Why the GOP going on the crazy train is bad

Example # ...oh hell I've lost count by now.

If the GOP was actually capable of rational arguments, as opposed to knee-jerk cries of "the (Kenyan) fights wars pretty much the same we do but he's not a white Republican us" coupled with "show us your birth certificate before you kill granny" then maybe, just maybe, the Democratic President of the United States would be slightly more liberal in his governance than he actually is.

Y'know, if they're gonna call ya' socialist, ya' might as well give them a modicum of something to be outraged about.

But as it is, by going full-crazy Obama gets to be Clinton II -- while David Broder still grips his prayer-beads.
