As Israel ordered a slight easing of its blockade of the Gaza Strip Wednesday, McClatchy obtained an Israeli government document that describes the blockade not as a security measure but as "economic warfare" against the Islamist group Hamas, which rules the Palestinian territory.
Not a "security measure" against terrorism, but for economic reasons.

It is in fact an act of state terrorism (not unlike the firebombings of Dresden and Tokyo or dropping the atomic bombs). We need to move away from the idea that states do not or cannot commit terrorist acts as they do it all the time. It is in fact the basis for Israeli policies regarding the Palestinians going back to 1968.
The Gazans got exactly what they wanted when Israel withdrew. They got an unsestainable Islamic apartheid (Jew free) terrorist enclave. They exist on handouts from around the world while their 'leaders' plot the demise of Israel. That Israel allows in thousands of tons of aid every week while receiving back only rockets attests to the extremely good nature of the Jewish state.
The future for the Gazans lies elsewhere, in Egypt, from where they came in the 1920's. But as we note, Egypt doesn't want them back!

Sorry, Fivish, but the genetic research (mostly conducted by Israeli and Jewish scientists) clearly indicates that the majority of Palestinians have been in Palestine for millennia. They are descended from the Jewish majority who remained there after the diaspora and later converted to Chriatianity and/or Islam.
