I'm an old boomer who has ALWAYS taken my voting rights & responsibilities seriously, and 99.999% of the time I've voted with the Dems. If they *touch* benefits or push back retirement age they will have driven a nail through what they stood for as a party. Raise the goddamn cap! What's the problem with that?

Yes! Raise the cap to unlimited (at least until SS is paid back the money it "loaned"); then make adjustments to reduce the burden from those on the low-end of the pay scale and - POOF! - instant tax cut for those that need it and money into the economy.
The argument that SS will pay the affluent less than they put in fails when it is understood that the money "borrowed" from SS was used to fund the general obligations of government that the affluent enjoyed without paying.

It's quite heartwarming to see that extremists like Woody have completely soured on Barack Obama.
Obama really fucked over the extreme leftists that solidly supported his election. I encounter leftists almost daily and every one of them I've bothered asking feels like Barack Obama betrayed them.
