Having a Dream-Weavers

In the spirit of "good timing" the Republican Party's becoming known for, America's almost least popular governor, Bobby Jindal -- who five years ago didn't stop Republicans from touting his ethnicity to prove the Party didn't dislike all people of color, picked the 50th anniversary of the March on Washington to say this:
Yet we still place far too much emphasis on our “separateness,” our heritage, ethnic background, skin color, etc. We live in the age of hyphenated Americans: Asian-Americans, Italian-Americans, African-Americans, Mexican-Americans, Cuban-Americans, Indian-Americans, and Native Americans, to name just a few. Here’s an idea: How about just “Americans?”
Yeah -- are you Republicans going to paint that one on the fence you want to build on the Mexican border, or just knit a place-setting for Travon Martin's parents with that one stitched in? [cross-posted at Firedoglake]
