Well, Attaturk, Rose is saying to these current players, "I was a stonewalling asshole and it didn't work out well. Don't be stupid and prideful like I was." Agreed, Pete's not a messenger with a ton of integrity, and a little of his New Attitude is self-serving, but at least he's starting to show some humility.
Of course, good luck getting A-Rod to consider Rose's advice. He appears incapable of that right now.
