Hey, look, Putin bought himself FoxNews Ultra...

Maybe somebody should do something?

Dmitri Kisilev, the anchor of the #1 news show in Russia, Vesti, called for gays to apparently be put to death recently on state-controlled Russian television.

...here is the transcript:
“I think that just imposing fines on gays for homosexual propaganda among teenagers is not enough. They should be banned from donating blood, sperm. And their hearts, in case of the automobile accident, should be buried in the ground or burned as unsuitable for the continuation of life.”
Note the wild applause in the video, below, from the those in attendance when Herr Kiselev finishes detailing his final kampf.

Well, we sent in the "free market" shock troops in 1991, caused economic chaos, did everything we could to encourage corruption (smoothing the way for Yeltsin, demanding privatization of all the industry--at rates as low as two cents on the dollar, which got the oligarchs established), the ruble crashed twice in ten years, and who knows how much of that has contributed to the return of the hardliners. (Which may have been part of the game plan all along--nothing like keeping the threat alive for propping up the profits of the military contractors.)

And now it's looking like a giant, cold, white people's version of Uganda. What a fucking mess.

Putin's taking a page straight out of the Atwater playbook.

The journey from DOMA to the tipping point took us a generation. Russia's probably going to be a really terrible place to live for a very long time.

Given the state of corruption, you'd be crazy to invest there.

I'm confused. I don't see where in the transcript he calls for gays to be put to death. It looks like he's saying no organ transplants from gay donors. He's still an asshole, but I don't think he's saying what you say he's saying.
