The History Channel does something well

I'm so used to bad history at the History Channel with their $10 budgets, it is always a surprise when they do something that is almost "American Experience" level in quality. So far "10 Days that Changed America" in its first four parts is actually quite decent and balanced.

Last night's episode on the Assassination of William McKinley was particularly exceptional, even the usual cast of "porn movie level" actors are improved. It should be noted that September 6, 1901, the day Leon Czolgosz ("Shol-gosh") shot McKinley is known to Karl Rove as "the saddest day ever".

Here's to hoping that Fitzgerald gives Karl a day to top that one, the day that he comes to arrest Rove.
