It all comes full circle

Tom Brokaw, while quietly mourning the demise of the Maverick, made a nice point a few minutes ago on the execrable Morning Joe, Barack Obama's celebration tonight is in Grant Park, the site of the 1968 Democratic Convention protests that helped propel Nixon into the White House and in many ways hamstrung Democrats for years and years.

Chuck Todd also made a good point -- in the course of a Century the places the Democrats and the Republicans are predominant have almost directly flip-flopped.
