Our buddies

The continuing value of Wikileaks (ignored, naturally by the media, which is no longer populated with journalists) is it exposes the shadow world of government actions that we, their ostensible bosses, are not allowed to see.

Case No. 9,208,395, Saudi Arabia versus Iran

Iraqi government officials see Saudi Arabia, not Iran, as the biggest threat to the integrity and cohesion of their fledgling democratic state, leaked US state department cables reveal.

The Iraqi concerns, analysed in a dispatch sent from the US embassy in Baghdad by then ambassador Christopher Hill in September 2009, represent a fundamental divergence from the American and British view of Iran as arch-predator in Iraq.

But for Wikileaks we'd never hear thing fucking one about this.

And again, a leak that anyone who's actively read about what's happening either knew or could have guesssed, but is the complete opposite of what we're supposed to believe.

This could also just be more evidence that we have driven Iraq into the arms of Iran. Perhaps what we are hearing here is not the judgment of the Iraqi gov't as much as it is Iran's.

I think that "history" will record that the main effect of W's Iraq Follies will be to establish Iraq as a Iranian satellite. Hooray us.

what's the surprise in this??? That Saudi Arabia isn't working in anyone's best interest but their own (pretty much true for all countries, this one included) - or that our gov. knows it but helps them anyway? Gotta keep the oil flowing, doncha know.

You're delusional, mb.

Iraq has been an overwhelming success in favor of the US and the Iraqi people. The US has decisively won the war in Iraq.

It's very clear that we (America) are controlling Iraq's destiny. Or I guess you didn't know about our permanent bases or our huge embassy complex here the largest of its kind in the world, the size of Vatican City? 5500 American employees?
Iran (and the rest of the jihadis in Iraq) have pretty much blown their wad, as it turns out there wasn't an unending supply of suicide bombers like many on the left were hoping for.

Hell, what Wikileaks says and what all the talking heads, pundits say it says, and does (has consenting sex in Sweden) like who will ever glean what the hell is going on?
As they do so well with our President as well.

"unending supply of suicide bombers like many on the left were hoping for." Okay, douchebag, care to link to anything for proof of that? Or are you just smearing your fellow Americans (assuming you are one yourself) because as a tribal "conservative" you LOOOOVE America but hate most Americans? Don't give me that hooey about the US being a "center-right" nation.
