You forgot the first rule of modern journalism which is nothing they say or do will get a conservative fired, unless they publicly repudiate conservatism.
I'm beginning to think that Buchanan could share a roasted Muslim baby with Cheney as an early brunch on "Morning Joe," and MSNBC would say, "well, it was a long morning and they were hungry, and, besides, Mika and Joe just had the fruit salad and coffee."
