And now let's look at Newt Gingrich's favorability

In comparison:
Former President Bill Clinton will headline the Democratic National Convention tonight boasting a personal best favorability rating, according to a new USA Today/Gallup poll released Wednesday. Clinton is viewed favorably by 69 percent of American adults, the poll shows, while only 27 percent view him unfavorably. That marks a new high for Clinton in Gallup's polling, which has spanned both his presidency and post-White House career. Clinton's favorability rating is high across all sub-groups, including 73 percent among women.

"...only 27% view him unfavorably."

Gee. The infamous 27%. I wonder who they are?

The 27 Percenters: – Those Americans who will predictably vote against their own best interests. In his seminal post on the Crazification Factor, John Rogers used the 2004 Obama/Keyes senate race as a measure: “Keyes was from out of state, so you can eliminate any established political base; both candidates were black, so you can factor out racism; and Keyes was plainly, obviously, completely crazy. Batshit crazy. Head-trauma crazy. But 27% of the population of Illinois voted for him. They put party identification, personal prejudice, whatever ahead of rational judgement. Hell, even like 5% of Democrats voted for him. That’s crazy behaviour. I think you have to assume a 27% Crazification Factor in any population.”

I wouldn't have believed it but I am now one of the 27%. I so love statistics; especially when the actions of the person have nothing to do with performance but personality.
