AQ Khan: The Bombmaker Gets Off

I meant to post about this statement from Dubya last night.

"The A.Q. Khan network has been brought to justice."

This came at the end of the rigidly schedule rebuttal so Kerry was not able to cram this asinine statement back at Bush.

AQ Kahn, of course, is the Pakistani Nuclear Scientist who created the "bomb" for that country while simultaneously running a nuclear black market. This occurred for years primarily during the time of Bush's "War on Terra".

He dealt nuclear technology to N. Korea and Libya and quite likely others. AQ Khan is one of the most dangerous man who ever lived.

However, rather than being shipped to jail or to any number of places for trial, he was promptly pardoned in Pakistan and is living the life of a national hero. The United States, under the man who thinks about "keeping the people safe every morning" did squat about it.

Meanwhile, Bush is still buddies with Pakistan's military dictator, who incidently seems bound and determined to not allow us capture Bin Laden with our own troops, while his country's troops seemingly always fail to get the job done.

Take that Right-Wing Shout Squad!
