Well, here's something that distinguishes Kerry from Bush

I mean besides intelligence, vocabular, articulateness, curiousity, bravery, height, rationality, judgment, temperment, docurum, and, of course bravery.

No, the NY Times (sorry Drudgie-poo) reports that Kerry has a clean bill of health (which may be similar to Bush I admit). But Bush's records cannot say this:

[Kerry] has never been in trouble with the law for drug or alcohol abuse.

UPDATE:

Admittedly, sometimes after a full day of ranting, Attaturk likes to find the snark. But commenters Liz and then Jim are right, there are actually some revealing items in this article that should be highlighted.

One is that there is an extensive discussion of Kerry's demeanor and how he handled finding out he had prostate cancer (for which he was treated and now is given a clean bill of health). It is revealing and in my opinon paints a flattering, humanizing picture of Kerry.

Second, is an item that addresses those other inflamed prostates of the 2004 election season the "Swift Boat Liars":

A group of veterans has challenged the validity of the three Purple Hearts that Mr. Kerry received for wounds he suffered while serving on Swift boats in the Vietnam war. These critics suggested that the shrapnel that hit him in one mission was rice, not metal.

However, CT scan X-rays taken at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston document that two pieces of metal shrapnel are embedded deep in Mr. Kerry's left thigh, next to the femur, said Dr. Gerald J. Doyle, Mr. Kerry's personal physician in Boston who reviewed the X-rays at the request of this reporter, who is a physician. Doctors treating the wound in 1969 decided to leave the shrapnel in place. "One piece of shrapnel is about the size of a bullet, the other a bit smaller," Dr. Doyle said.

This item, coupled with the just released "Swimming Up River" should, one would think, put the final nail in the well-deserved coffin of that story.
