What exactly are these two doing with their lives, II

A few days ago I wrote that Bushette I and Bushette II were seen spending their birthdays (their 24th birthdays) walking through live oblivious of the suffering of others -- hell, just generally oblivious.

I don't begrudge them their parents; but dammit, I hate it when women walk through their lives oblivious to the needs of others -- that's what men are for! Don't bogart our cushy gender role ladies...and have you seen the remote?

Anyhow, not simply content with drinking and shopping on special days, the shiftlessness has permiated them to their very shallow cores as Holden notes.

Meanwhile folks their own age are dying or being maimed in one way or another in faraway lands, or at least working for a wage. You would think, for the sake of appearances at least, they'd at least look like they are doing something with their lives.
