Not only does Bush continue to day, as Atrios has repeatedly said, leaving=losing; but the delusions that are taking place grow deeper each and every day.
Now, it is the fault of the "generals on the ground", the ones that Bush has spent the last two years saying he listens to above all. This NY Times article is replete with the White House pointing fingers at those who are not primarily responsible for Bush's policy. Once again, Bush implicitly says he did exactly the wrong thing and says he expects people to accept that THIS TIME, for the first time ever, he'll make the right decision -- even though once again it serves only the vanity of George W. Bush.
This is going to be both a pathetic and tragic time in American History. I sure am glad that Jerry Ford is being deified before he lived to give embargoed interviews about how steamed it all makes him.
