Update: big-time cool pic of the Tribute here.
Saw the Tribute in Light from the intersection of Sixth Avenue and West Fourth Street last night. It really is elegant and moving and viewing it is the one thing I make sure to do (along with avoiding "Ground Zero" or any media outlet where I might hear that odious term) every September 11th. The artists and architects who conceived the Tribute got it exactly right, as did the city, which decided (mostly for budget reasons, as I recall) to display it only for twenty-four hours each year. Anyway, if you're in town or nearby tonight, try to check it out. I was at the lookout at Eagle Rock Reservation in New Jersey last weekend. I bet there's a great view from up there.
