I'm here to tell you that there is simply no more horrible day to be in New York than Saint Patrick's Day. It is just the pits, with drunk stupid people screaming and vomiting in the streets and on the subway. Next year I am working from home.
That sounds exactly like Shrove Tuesday here, except that people are dressed as clowns (and a surprising number of men dress as women). But drunkenness and vomit, yeah. Be happy it's over.

Newport, RI was pretty bad after the parade last Saturday, but it will be worse tonight.

for some reason.. all the drug girls seemed fat and poorly dressed....
what we need around here is a better class of drunks!
