here's a couple of tips for Zakaria -- the first step in 'fixing our problems' is to stop booking know-nothing assholes like Friedman to explain how to 'fix it'....
the second step to 'fixing our problems' is to step away from the camera and let someone who is an actual journalist interested in actually investigating and exposing 'the problems' to do the job.

Lessee... it was Jared Diamond who said, "when its elites are protected from their mistakes, societies fail."
Friedman has turned out to be wrong about just about everything, but, he's still revered by the Villagers. I'd say that qualifies as protection....
